Class D amplifiers, using the latest technologies, surpass amplifiers in Class A or AB in a number of metrics. Nevertheless, despite these advantages, many expert measurements show a lack of sound quality compared to analog amplifiers due to the limitations of digital circuits. To overcome these limitations, Hi-Fi ROSE has developed "AD class" amplifier technology using GaN transistors and applied this technology in the RA180 (full amplifier), RS520 (all-in-one system), and in the RA280.
The innovative new material, gallium nitride, significantly improves linearity and overcomes the limitations of Class D amplifiers, providing smooth, natural reproduction of audio material with the smoothness of an analog amplifier. As a result, we get the formula: quality comparable to analog + efficiency and power of Class D.
The HiFi Rose RA280 also offers the functionality of a built-in MM phono corrector, capable of amplifying very weak audio signals captured by the cartridge with high precision and processing them without distortion. We have already tested the built-in phono corrector in the flagship HiFi Rose RA180 and were inspired by the results.
