Compared to the first version of the RØDE VideoMicro, the new second model has even higher recording quality and lower sensitivity threshold, allowing for higher-quality sound, even when recording quiet sounds such as whispers or rustling leaves. The directionality has become narrower: supercardioid instead of cardioid. The narrower directionality better rejects unwanted sounds when shooting in noisy environments: outdoors, in shopping centers, and so on.
