Description

RODE NTH-Mic is a standalone microphone for RODE NTH-100 headphones, capable of turning them into a full-fledged headset for internet communication, multimedia, podcasts, and video games. The microphone easily connects directly to the headphones. Its concise and strict design does not obstruct the face and looks great on camera during video calls.

Features:

  • RODE NTH-100 headphone microphone;
  • Frequency range of 20 Hz – 20,000 Hz;
  • Condenser capsule with a cardioid polar pattern;
  • Output on a 1/8'' Jack TRRS connector with gold-plated contacts;
  • Lightweight and compact design;
  • Connection cables included.

The model is equipped with a permanently polarized condenser capsule, which produces natural and rich sound with a wide frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The cardioid polar pattern ensures uniform sensitivity from all sides of the capsule, allowing the microphone to be positioned at any angle to the sound source. The maximum sound pressure level can reach 123 dB.

To connect to the headphones, a 1/8'' Jack TRRS connector with gold-plated contacts and locking mechanism is used. It comes with a connecting cable for headphones with 1/8'' Jack TRRS connectors, which allows you to connect the headset to a computer or mobile device. The package also includes a TRRS Jack splitter cable to 2 TRS Jack for separate connection of the microphone and headphones to a computer.

Microphone polar pattern

Omnidirectional, cardioid and supercardioid. It determines the sensitivity of the microphone to sound relative to the direction or angle, i.e. shows how well the microphone "hears" sound from different sides

Glossary of terms

condenser

A metal membrane consisting of plates (a condenser) oscillates under the influence of sound air flows converting a sound wave into an electromagnetic one.
