Description

The RODE NT1 Kit is a condenser microphone that comes with a pop filter and anti-vibration mount. Despite its similar appearance to the NT1-A, the NT1 has been completely redesigned from the ground up, with the only shared component being the mesh grille.

The NT1 has a nickel-plated aluminum housing, making it resistant to corrosion. It uses an XLR connector with gold-plated contacts for connectivity. The included shock mount is easily installed on the microphone and ensures clean sound recording in both professional studios and home recording environments.

The NT1 has been developed to deliver detailed mid-frequency reproduction. It boasts a smooth and silky high-frequency sound, as well as warm and rounded bass reproduction, setting a standard in its class. RODE has incorporated advanced Lyre suspension systems from Rycote to minimize external vibrations at the capsule level, resulting in superior sound quality. The capsule is connected to high-quality electronics designed to provide lower noise levels compared to other studio microphones.

With a self-noise level of only 4.5 dB, the NT1 is an exceptionally quiet microphone.

Microphones used for recording that are distinguished by improved perception of high frequencies as well as sound sources with fast variable volume or sudden attack.

Impedance, Ohms

No higher than 32 Ohms for smartphone headphones. When using a good player or amplifier, it can be up to 100 Ohms. For stationary models you should coordinate the impedance with the amplifier power

Microphone polar pattern

Omnidirectional, cardioid and supercardioid. It determines the sensitivity of the microphone to sound relative to the direction or angle, i.e. shows how well the microphone "hears" sound from different sides

Glossary of terms
cardioid

The polar pattern of the microphone that picks up the sound in front of it.

Словарь терминов
Microphone type
condenser

A metal membrane consisting of plates (a condenser) oscillates under the influence of sound air flows converting a sound wave into an electromagnetic one.

Signal-to-noise ratio, dB

The higher signal-to-noise ratio, the clearer sound and the bigger the dynamic range provided by the system
