Professional audio interface RME MADIface USB offers full mobile functionality for working with the MADI (Multichannel Audio Digital Interface) protocol for recording studios. This device features 64 input and 64 output channels with a sampling rate of up to 192 kHz. This interface has the same level of functionality as "professional" cards, ensuring full compatibility with all devices that have this protocol.
RME MADIface USB supports transmission modes using both 56 and 64 channels at 96 kHz. 64 channels are supported by the TotalMix hardware mixer. RME MADIface USB offers the most powerful router/mixer ever implemented on a PCIe bus, with minimal processor load.
Optical and coaxial inputs of RME MADIface USB support the Seamless Redudancy mode: if there are signal problems on one input, it instantly switches to another. These inputs work simultaneously, and sound engineers can use mirror output mode or all four inputs/outputs separately with the internal 48-bit TotalMix mixer. It includes a low-latency routing matrix. In the extended mode, 128 input signals can be rerouted and mixed to all 128 output channels.
RME MADIface USB can also use MIDI-over-MADI technology for remote control of other devices via the MADI protocol. In standalone mode, the audio interface operates as a repeater, doubling the maximum cable length (100 meters for coaxial and 2 km for optical). It also serves as an active digital signal converter with jitter reduction. Power is supplied via the USB port.
