The ADI-2 Pro features two analog inputs on combo XLR/TRS connectors, two separate balanced and unbalanced XLR and TS outputs, two stereo headphone outputs, as well as optical S/PDIF and AES/EBU inputs, capable of working with ADAT protocol. USB 2.0 is fully compatible with UAC 2 for connectivity with iOS-based devices. Additionally, there is an option to connect an external power supply with a locking connector.
As a computer interface, the ADI-2 Pro offers operation in stereo (2/2) and multichannel mode (6/8). No additional drivers are required for compatibility with Mac OS X, unlike Windows, where RME MADIface series driver is used for full WDM and ASIO compatibility and to achieve the device's maximum performance.

The RME ADI-2 FS converter uses the ADI-2 Pro conversion technology: the AK557x and AK4490 family offer not only a 192 kHz sampling rate and low signal distortion but also a 120 dBA dynamic range.
The RME ADI-2 FS offers much more than just stunning sound. It excels in digital interfacing as well. The optical TOSLINK I/Os can be adjusted up to 192 kHz and also function as ADAT I/O even at 192 kHz. Interaction with SPDIF input and ADAT output, or vice versa, is supported in both AD/DA and D-D modes. Format conversion is possible between all options - SPDIF coaxial (or AES) with Professional or Consumer status, as well as ADAT.
