The Pro-Ject T2 W is the first vinyl player with Wi-Fi streaming to receive the EISA award for "Best Turntable System 2023-2024". It is the first of its kind openly operating on various streaming platforms, making high-quality vinyl playback accessible to a new audience while staying true to the essence of a Pro-Ject turntable.
Wi-Fi Vinyl Streaming
Pro-Ject engineers incorporated the latest dual-band Wi-Fi technology, including modern wireless network standards. The T2 W can stream in either standard compressed MP3 format for maximum compatibility or in 24-bit / 48kHz lossless format for high-end streamers like the Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 Ultra.
The T2 W also supports multi-room functionality, allowing you to send hundreds of audio streams to multiple receiving devices before the T2 W's multi-core processor or Wi-Fi bandwidth decreases.
The new "Pro-Ject Control" app offers a fast and intuitive user interface, while Wi-Fi setup can be easily done through BLE features. Use the ProJect Control app to select where to stream, and then simply use the side control button to start playback from your chosen streamer again.
Glass Platter
The glass platter adheres to the zero-resonance philosophy, avoiding the drawbacks of plastic or lightweight steel alternatives. The weight of the platter is 1.7kg.
Precision Motor Control
A switch on the side of the turntable allows for easy speed adjustment with just one button press. Speeds of 33 and 45 RPM are available.
The motor and drive system in the T2 W remain identical to those in the T1. The motor drives a belt system connected to a newly designed subplatter exclusive to the T-line. This subplatter is mounted on an ultra-precise main bearing with a 0.001mm diameter shaft made of hardened steel and a brass bushing.
Where most alternatives may use unregulated DC motors with large speed fluctuations, the T2 W features a precision AC motor system with electronic speed control. It also includes electronic speed switching between 33 and 45 RPM. The result is a low-noise, stable drive system for the turntable.
Anti-Skating Function
The T2 W model comes with a new adjustable, spring-loaded anti-skating mechanism that optimizes performance.

High-Quality Phono Preamp
If your amplifier lacks a phono preamp or has a basic one, use the built-in two-stage MM phono preamp. Pro-Ject engineers have created a stunning soundstage that offers unparalleled durability and sound quality, resulting in a truly groundbreaking phono preamp design for the T2 W!
9-Inch Cast Aluminum Tonearm
With an efficient 9-inch length and rigid aluminum construction, this solid tonearm features new low-friction bearings that ensure absolute precision in use.
Design
The CNC-machined elegant table has been enlarged for increased stability and is available in glossy black, satin white, or walnut finishes. It boasts a construction free of plastic components and meticulous craftsmanship, eliminating any internal voids to effectively prevent unwanted vibrations within the housing.
Additionally, the glass platter in the T2 W is heavier and thicker compared to its predecessor, providing a zero-resonance design that effectively eliminates the drawbacks associated with plastic or lightweight steel alternatives. The specially selected turntable feet effectively isolate the T2 W from external vibrations near your Hi-Fi system.
