The two 6.5-inch carbon cone woofers produce convincing bass, while the dome tweeter creates an airy and expressive sound. The elimination of cabinet vibrations is achieved through an internal chamber filled with ballast (sand).
The Speaker Box 12 E Carbon speakers are equipped with two 6.5-inch carbon cone woofers. One driver handles the lowest frequencies, while the other reproduces part of the midrange, resulting in deep bass, punchy mid-bass, and articulate midrange frequencies.
The tweeter features a silk dome for airy and detailed reproduction of music. The speakers are housed in thick MDF panels for effective vibration damping. An internal chamber in the bottom of the cabinet filled with ballast (sand) provides additional damping, resulting in natural and uncolored sound.
The Pro-Ject Speaker Box 12 E Carbon features a rear-firing phase inverter, extending the low-frequency range. The crossover is made of select components in a scheme that minimizes phase distortion, resulting in a focused and accurate stereo image. The input terminal with two pairs of gold-plated binding posts allows for single or bi-wire connection to the amplifier.
The Pro-Ject Speaker Box 12 E Carbon speakers have an elegant European design available in multiple finishes, including matte lacquer or natural wood veneer. The protective grille is attached with invisible magnetic holders, keeping the front panels of the speakers clean and free from unnecessary mountings.
