The first player in the Debut series, introduced in the late 1990s, revolutionized the Hi-Fi industry. It brought back analog products to the "mass market" after the rise of CDs, making high-quality vinyl accessible to all music lovers. Now the company presents a player with an S-shaped tonearm and a high-quality Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge. Technically accurate design, professional craftsmanship, handcrafted in Europe. This player is built to last a lifetime!

Reliable MDF chassis with lacquer finish

The Pro-Ject Debut S Phono is built with an MDF chassis that effectively dampens vibrations, resulting in a neutral and detailed sound. The black lacquer finish gives the player a luxurious look and further dampens resonances.

Massive steel platter

The player features a 1.7 kg steel platter for stable rotation. A damping felt mat is placed on the platter.

S-shaped aluminum tonearm

The Pro-Ject Debut S Phono comes with an S-shaped aluminum tonearm with a removable aluminum shell on an SME mount.

Magnetic anti-skating

The model uses magnetic anti-skating, allowing for quick and precise adjustment of the anti-skate force. Simply set the desired anti-skate value with the wheel and enjoy the sound of your records.

Pre-mounted SUMIKO cartridge

The player comes pre-fitted with the Sumiko MM cartridge. The cartridge features a diamond stylus with an elliptical tip for accurate tracking of the vinyl grooves.

Switchable phono preamp

The Pro-Ject Debut S Phono is equipped with a built-in phono preamp with a bypass function. You can connect the player to any line input on an integrated amplifier or AV receiver, or use an external preamp.

Damped drive

The motor in the Pro-Ject Debut S Phono is mechanically damped from the chassis to eliminate vibrations. As a result, the player operates almost silently, free from distortions in sound.

Electronic speed switch

The model comes with an electronic speed switch for convenient operation. With the push of a button, you can switch between 33 and 1/3 to 45 (78) RPM and back.

Package includes:

  • Vinyl player
  • Dust cover
  • MM Sumiko Rainier cartridge
  • Documentation.
