The Pro-Ject DAC BOX RS is a benchmark class digital-to-analog converter. This device can be used with any source of digital audio signal, including support for the latest high-resolution formats.

The converter uses two PCM-1792 microchips (one in each channel) and has switchable tube/transistor output, unbalanced and balanced analog outputs. The sampling frequency and input signal type are displayed on the device's front panel using LED indicators.
The Pro-Ject DAC BOX RS can be used with any digital sources in a home audio system. It is equipped with a USB input for connection to a PC or streamer transports to achieve unparalleled sound quality. The device supports data processing in high-resolution formats. Pro-Ject DAC Box RS is also equipped with an AES/EBU input and I²S/Master Clock outputs, which can be used for connecting to the CD transport CD Box RS, as well as other compatible devices.
The Pro-Ject DAC BOX RS model uses high-class PCM 1792 DACs (one per channel) and also provides two different digital filter settings to achieve optimal sound. The Pro-Ject DAC BOX RS also features tube and solid-state output stages (with the ability to switch between them) to select the best sound character for each user.
The sound design features ultra-low noise and high linearity characteristics, as well as very low output impedance. This has helped to avoid sound distortion caused by different connecting cables and input circuits of connected amplifiers. The Pro-Ject DAC Box RS is one of the most uncompromising devices in its class.
