When connecting the turntable to the phono preamp in a balanced way, you will experience significant sonic benefits such as extended dynamic range, low noise level, and high sound detailing. You will be able to hear nuances in familiar music that you might not have noticed before.
In the Connect It RS interconnect cables, pure silver conductors are used to ensure the highest conductivity across all frequency ranges. This means that music is reproduced accurately and the cable transmits the signal neutrally and without distortion. Compared to copper, silver does not limit high frequencies, resulting in a more detailed and open sound. This is particularly important for transmitting weak signals from a cartridge. Low cable capacitance is also essential for clean signal transmission.
The cable's dielectric, shielding, and manufacturing quality are also crucial. The dielectric determines the cable's capacitance, which is very important. While technically air is the best dielectric, it is not feasible in reality. Pro-Ject uses polyethylene (PE), which has excellent insulation characteristics. The Connect It DS and RS series cables utilize flexible foamed PE, which ensures low cable capacitance.
Shielding is done using an OFC copper braid with silver coating and a conductive carbon jacket. This provides perfect signal protection and greater cable flexibility.
