This model is a continuation of the Debut series. Engineers have added a couple of features to this model. The first feature is the increased size of the chassis. The reason for this increase is explained by the second feature - the 10-inch S-shaped aluminum tonearm.
The Pro-Ject Debut PRO S turntable chassis is made of MDF for better vibration isolation. The chassis is manually coated with an 8-layer finish at the factory. The player's body is resistant to mechanical damage and looks magnificent. The Debut PRO S can be easily leveled on the surface thanks to adjustable height metal feet.
The S-shaped aluminum tonearm of the Debut PRO S has height (VTA) and azimuth angle adjustments. This allows for the installation of any cartridges with SME mounts on the turntable. The player comes with a pre-installed Pro-Ject Pick It S2 C MM cartridge.
The Pro-Ject Debut PRO S features a cast aluminum platter with an internal damping ring made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) to dampen unwanted vibrations and resonances. This approach increases the mass of the platter and positively affects the smooth rotation. The platter is precisely balanced for stable rotation.
The model uses an aluminum sub-platter made by diamond cutting. The motor in the Pro-Ject Debut PRO S is mechanically damped from the chassis to eliminate vibrations. The model features an electronic speed switch for the disc. Switching from 33 to 45 RPM is as easy as pressing a button.
