Primare A35.2 is a stereo power amplifier with a power output of 2 x 200 W, designed using proprietary ultra-fast power sources based on UFPD technology. It provides high output power with extremely low levels of distortion and is perfectly matched with the Primare PRE35 audiophile preamplifier and other preamplifier models, as well as multi-channel audio processors.
The UFPD power supplies have minimal response time to peaks, resulting in natural, clean, fast, and transparent sound in an extended frequency range, with excellent overload reserves. In terms of environmental impact, the A35.2 significantly outperforms traditional Class A/B designs - it surpasses them in efficiency and does not generate excess heat.
The Primare A35.2 consists of two discrete amplifiers, designed using UFPD technology and housed in a massive chassis made of steel and a special alloy, providing strength, rigidity, shielding, and vibration damping from external sources.
Each channel features unbalanced (RCA) and balanced (XLR) inputs, gold-plated speaker output terminals, as well as relay inputs and an RS-232 port. The Primare A35.2 can easily switch to bridged mode, delivering a fully symmetrical monophonic channel with a power output of 800 W into an 8-ohm load.
In symmetric signal transmission, two identical signal lines are used to transmit the same signal with opposite phase. Any noise present on both lines is equally present with the same phase. The receiving differential scheme preserves signals in opposite phase (music) and suppresses signals with common phase (noise), leaving only the clean original signal.
Thanks to this, symmetric schemes are much better protected from external interference. All switches between bridged and stereo modes, and RCA/XLR inputs are made using high-quality signal relays. The preamplification stage of the Primare A35.2 is based on Burr-Brown OPA2134 and Analog Devices AD8512 operational amplifiers with a constant gain of 30 dB (unbalanced) and 24 dB (balanced) and a stabilizing impedance of 15 kΩ in bridged or stereo configuration.
