Featuring an 18-inch woofer with a 3-inch voice coil, this speaker can reproduce frequencies from 30 to 150 Hz with a deviation of +/-3 dB. The maximum sound pressure level can reach 129 dB. A high-quality Class D amplifier provides 1200 watts of peak power and 600 watts of continuous power for loud and clear sound. To fine-tune the sound and optimize it for the specific satellite being used, a DSP processor is included with controls for crossover, a simple equalizer, and presets for tonal optimization. There is also a limiter to protect the drivers in case of clipping.
Audio sources can be connected via two balanced line inputs with Combo Jack/XLR connectors. Two parallel Link outputs, using standard 3-pin XLR connectors, allow for signal routing to external speakers or a mixer. The rear of the subwoofer features an LCD display for DSP processor settings, controlled by a single knob with a push button. The cabinet is constructed from sturdy 15mm plywood with a 1.5mm metal grille, and two steel handles on the sides facilitate transport.
