The PreSonus AIR15 is a compact and lightweight active 2-way speaker in the AIR series by PreSonus, designed for home use, as a monitor for DJs and musicians, and for other personal applications in mobile and permanent installations. The speaker features a bi-amp design, which separately amplifies signals for the low and all other frequency ranges, and offers high sound pressure levels even in the lower models. The D class amplifiers (for the low frequencies) and A/B class amplifiers (for the highs) provide a total dynamic power of up to 1200W. With a frequency range from 40Hz to 20kHz, the maximum sound pressure is 124dB, allowing for the capture of many nuances, especially when adding a subwoofer to the system.

The PreSonus AIR15 offers a wide range of inputs, allowing you to use the speaker with various sources. It includes two XLR/TRS combo inputs, each with a microphone preamplifier and independent controls. There is also an aux in input on a 1/8" TRS mini-jack (3.5mm) for signals from smartphones, tablets, and other consumer music devices. These signals can be combined with others through the speaker's internal mixer, and the balanced XLR Mix Out output allows for signal transmission to other AIR series speakers.
The AIR15 can be mounted in multiple ways, providing flexibility in placement. The polyhedron-shaped enclosure and rubber feet on the bottom and side allow for traditional vertical use as well as for use as a stage monitor. It can be mounted using M10 points, such as on a stand or pole above a subwoofer. Additionally, the top handle makes the speaker easy to transport.
The AIR15 combines the best of both Class A amplifier types to provide optimal response across the frequency range. The Class D amplifier with a continuous power of 500W for the 15" low-frequency driver is complemented by a Class A/B amplifier with a power of 200W for the 1.35" high-frequency driver, ensuring natural sound. These speakers are equipped with an easy-to-use built-in DSP, featuring a removable LCD display for simplified control. Dedicated controls for high and low frequencies allow for boosting by 10dB or cutting for space compensation. DSP presets help optimize performance for stand or bracket mounting, as well as for traditional standalone use. The DSP also helps adjust the speaker to compensate for excess low frequencies when placed, for example, on the floor. The constant dispersion angle is 90x60 degrees.
