The two-way Polk Audio T50 model is the only floor-standing speaker in the junior T-series of Polk Audio acoustic systems. This versatile floor speaker is perfect for reproducing front channels of entry-level home theater systems, as well as confidently integrating into a regular Hi-Fi stereo system. The model is ideal for playing modern Dolby formats (including Dolby Atmos), DTS, and pairs excellently with most AV receivers, processors, and amplifiers.

The speakers of this model were developed using the proprietary Dynamic Balance technology, based on laser visualization methods (laser interferometry). This technique minimizes membrane parasitic resonances by providing an optimal combination of materials and components in the entire driver structure. As a result, wide dispersion, a decent frequency range, and reduced distortion are guaranteed.
The floor speaker is equipped with a silk dome tweeter that is located in a shallow waveguide. Below the tweeter is a 6.5-inch long-throw mid/woofer driver with a composite cone. Both drivers exhibit wide dispersion characteristics. The Polk Audio T50 offers a wide sound wave coverage area, allowing for open, spacious sound in practically any area of the room. To enhance the bass section, a pair of 6.5-inch passive low-frequency radiators is employed. The model boasts relatively high sensitivity, making it easier to choose an amplifier or AV receiver. If needed, the Polk Audio T50 can be complemented with a subwoofer from the PSW line to create an even more solid bass foundation.
The rigid, acoustically inert speaker cabinet is made of MDF and finished with a vinyl wrap in black wood. Quality dampening with internal braces helps eliminate unwanted resonances and vibrations. The cabinet rests on a base that extends slightly beyond its boundaries. Two screw terminals are provided for speaker cable connection, and a slightly curved fabric grille is used to protect the drivers.
The Polk Audio T50 floor speaker is an excellent choice for fully covering small rooms with sound. This model is also convenient for use in multi-room systems.
