"Introspective" is a remastered reissue of Pet Shop Boys' 1988 album on 180-gram vinyl.
"Introspective" has sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide and was the first album produced by Trevor Horn, whose lush orchestral arrangements set a new direction for Pet Shop Boys. House music legend Frankie Knuckles mixed "I Want A Dog," and "Domino Dancing" was recorded in Miami with hitmaker Lewis Martin. When recording "Introspective," Pet Shop Boys took a new approach to the album format: all tracks were over six minutes long, and were later trimmed to fit the more traditional 7-inch single format. "The idea was that each track on the album would be a standalone single, and five of them were, because 'I'm Not Scared' was a single for Patsy Kensit and her band Eighth Wonder," says Neil Tennant. This catalog reissue includes the remastered original album, bonus material, including demo versions of the singles "Don Juan" and "Domino Dancing," a 7-inch, and disco mixes of "Losing My Mind" and "Left To My Own Devices."
