"Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 2" is a soundtrack to the American film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 by screenwriter and director James Gunn. The script is based on the comics published by Marvel Comics. It is a sequel to the film adaptation released in 2014 and the fifteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The deluxe edition includes the film's score by Tyler Bates, who worked on both parts of the film, and the soundtrack compilation "Blowout Mix, Part 2".
The film takes place two to three months after the conclusion of the first film. According to the plot, the Guardians of the Galaxy continue to travel throughout space and fight to save their newly found family, helping Peter Quill uncover the secret of his origin and stop an enemy that threatens to destroy the entire galaxy.
