Novation Summit
The Novation Summit is a 16-voice synthesizer based on the Peak model. The synthesizer features a multitimbral dual engine and offers subtractive, FM, and wavetable sound synthesis types. Summit doubles the capabilities of the Peak, equipped with the same digitally controlled Oxford oscillators but supporting up to 16 voices that can be distributed across 2 independent engines. They can be split across the keyboard or layered on top of each other, and can also operate in bi-timbral mode. Each instrument voice supports up to three oscillators operating in analog emulation mode.
Wide Creative Possibilities
The Summit has two filters, analog VCAs for each voice, two ADSR envelope generators, 4 LFOs, and analog distortion. Additionally, while using the synthesizer sound, external instruments can be processed through the effects processor. Effects include chorus, delay, reverb, and an arpeggiator with preset patterns.
Control and Connectivity
Effects can be controlled from the front panel of the instrument or through the display via an FX matrix with modulations. The synthesizer features a 61-key keyboard with Aftertouch, a large set of control buttons and knobs, 8 faders, Pitch / Mod wheels, and a display. On the back panel, there are MIDI In / Out / Thru, CV mod input, 2 pedal connections, two 6.3mm L / R inputs, four 6.3mm L / R outputs, USB port, and headphone output.
