Description

The Neumann TLM 102 is a studio condenser microphone that brings revolutionary technology in a compact design. Despite its small size, this microphone incorporates all the advanced features Neumann is known for. Its timeless design and glossy ring on the protective grille make it visually appealing and unique.

One of the standout features of the TLM 102 is its exceptional sound quality. It is equipped with a new large-diaphragm capsule (cardioid) that can handle sound pressure levels of up to 144 dB while maintaining fast transient response. This makes it ideal for capturing loud sound sources like percussion, drums, and guitar amplifiers.

However, the TLM 102 truly shines in vocal and speech recording, as well as broadcasting. It has a slight boost in the mid-frequency range above 6 kHz, which ensures exceptional voice intelligibility in the mix. The frequency response is linear up to 6 kHz, resulting in minimal coloration of the sound and well-defined bass frequencies.

To reduce interference from structure-borne noise, the microphone capsule is elastically mounted to the body. Additionally, the integrated pop filter in the protective grille effectively reduces explosive consonants.

The TLM 102 is not only an exceptional microphone in terms of performance but also in terms of affordability. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, making it an ideal choice for home and budget studios, project studios, and broadcast studios.
