Neumann, in collaboration with Merging Technologies, presents a sound card with 12 inputs and 16 outputs, featuring DSP and supporting a 32-bit bit depth and a sampling frequency of up to 192 kHz.
The sound card supports signal recording with a sampling frequency of up to 192 kHz and a bit depth of up to 32 bits. The interface supports 12 input and 16 output channels. The MT-48 features a built-in DSP chip that enables onboard compression, equalization, and reverb on each of the available channels. It is noted that the effects can operate in pre and post-processing modes. To control the effects on the channels, as well as the inputs and outputs themselves, the model is equipped with a touch display and a digital mixer.
Two combined XLR/TRS 1/4" connectors are provided for connecting signal sources. The main output connectors are represented by a pair of XLR ports. Two independent headphone outputs are provided for connecting headphones. Among the additional switching options, the model offers optical ADAT and S/PDIF connectors, MIDI inputs and outputs, and an Ethernet connector with support for AES67/RAVENNA protocols. The audio interface is connected to the computer via a USB-C (2.0) port. According to the technical specifications, the microphone inputs and preamps provide a dynamic range of 136 dB. The equivalent noise level is -128 dB, and the harmonic distortion coefficient is -110 dB. The maximum gain level is +78 dB.
