Description

The Miniature Clip Mic MCM system sets a new standard for the quality of electret capsules. Neumann MCM 114 ensures excellent sound reproduction for all acoustic instruments. It redefines the standard for natural sound, practicality, reliable installation, and durability. The system includes nine specialized mounting clips for a wide range of acoustic instruments. The modular design allows for easy replacement and guarantees excellent cost-effectiveness.

The KK 14 microphone capsule captures even the finest details of instrument sound much more efficiently than any other solution. It is also much simpler and more stable to use, unlike outdated electret systems that require constant monitoring of sound quality. Thanks to its modern modular construction, the KK 14 not only provides the highest accuracy and sound stability but also boasts exceptional durability and is able to function flawlessly for a very long time, even in challenging live concert settings.

The Neumann KK 14 delivers the sound of both very quiet and very loud musical instruments with minimal self-noise and without any loss, even at extremely high sound pressure levels up to 152 dB.

Moreover, despite its impressive capabilities, the new electret microphone system is modular, lightweight, compact, and very sturdy. The KK 14 capsule is housed in a well-protected titanium body and is assembled exclusively by hand. If necessary, the KK 14 can be quickly and easily detached (unscrewed) from the gooseneck, and all other system components can be disassembled and rearranged just as easily.

The Miniature Clip Mic System offers nine installation options, allowing the microphone to be positioned correctly and safely in almost any situation, without the risk of damaging the instrument.

Each of the key components is designed for optimal performance, manufactured independently, and later assembled by hand. Rigorous quality control also ensures an unprecedented level of tonal consistency.

A distinctive feature of the MCM 114 system is the simplicity of the mounting options, which allow for easy and reliable microphone positioning on any instrument. The installation will not damage even sensitive surfaces and can be done in seconds. For most instruments, only one hand is required. The gooseneck holder rotates along one or two axes and locks with a 45° step for precise adjustment.

Microphone polar pattern

Omnidirectional, cardioid and supercardioid. It determines the sensitivity of the microphone to sound relative to the direction or angle, i.e. shows how well the microphone "hears" sound from different sides

Glossary of terms
cardioid

The polar pattern of the microphone that picks up the sound in front of it.
