Neumann KH 870 G - 7.1 Active Studio Subwoofer
Based on the KH 870 system, in response to the demand for surround sound, Neumann offers the High Definition Bass Manager in 7.1 format. It is compatible with all standard audio playback formats, from mono to 7.1 HD.
With 8 analog channels, it allows for flexible use in modern recording studios and production facilities. The 4 LFE (Low Frequency Effect) processing modes ensure compatibility with any format used in all areas of application.
The crossover with fourth-order filters and adjustable acoustic adaptation elements allow for easy integration of the monitors into any room configuration. The built-in volume controller and remote control simplify centralized system management, while separating the electronics from the acoustics reduces cable length for low-voltage (strongest interference) cables.
To ensure the most accurate sound reproduction, the monitoring system utilizes the latest amplification and acoustic components. Reliable transducers, a sturdy enclosure, and meticulously designed phase inverters guarantee tight, clear low frequencies without distortion even at high volume levels.
The patented Plane Wave Bass Array (PWBA) acoustic power summation method increases sound density in the listening area by reducing side radiation energy. The lower limit for low frequencies reaches 18 Hz. Even one KH 870 subwoofer complements a wide range of monitors, and connecting multiple subwoofers in series allows for the creation of acoustic systems with higher sound pressure levels (SPL).
The KH 870 is designed for monitoring, mixing, and mastering in recording studios, music production, broadcasting, and post-production. The front placement of the phase inverter and the design of the enclosure allow for both wall-mounted and built-in installation of the monitors.
