Neumann KH 810 G is an active studio subwoofer designed for 7.1 surround sound.
In response to the demand for immersive sound, the KH 810 G features Neumann's High Definition Bass Manager, compatible with all standard audio formats from mono to 7.1 HD.
The four LFE channel processing modes ensure compatibility with various formats used in different applications, while providing the most linear frequency response from 18 to 300 Hz with a +/-3 dB level.
For audio source connectivity, the subwoofer is equipped with eight balanced XLR inputs that can accept different stereo and multichannel signals, including LFE. Additionally, it has eight XLR outputs for audio signal output, serving the same functions.
This allows for audio connection in formats such as 7.1 and 7.0 HD, 7.1 Theatrical, 6.1, 6.0, 5.1, 5.0, 3/1.0, 2.0, as well as mono signals. The subwoofer also features an RJ45 port for connection with remote control devices NRC 1 or SEA 1, compatible with RC-232 interface.
To fine-tune the tone, several useful functions are available, including a parametric equalizer with up to +4 dB gain and -12 dB attenuation, phase rotation at 45, 90, or 135 degrees, and a low-frequency filter attenuating frequencies by -12 dB.
The audio reproduction is facilitated by a 10-inch composite driver with magnetic shielding and a metal grille, providing protection against external factors.
The crossover with fourth-order filters and adjustable acoustic adaptation elements allows easy integration of the monitors into any room configuration. The built-in volume control and remote control simplify centralized system management, with the separation of the electronics unit from the acoustics to minimize the length of low-voltage (strongest interference) cables.
The most advanced amplification and acoustic components have been employed in the monitor system to ensure highly accurate sound reproduction. Reliable transducers, a sturdy wooden and aluminum enclosure, and carefully designed phase inverters guarantee dense, distortion-free low frequencies even at high volume levels.
The patented method of summing acoustic power, Plane Wave Bass Array (PWBA), enhances sound density in the listening area by reducing energy of lateral radiation.
The KH 810 G is designed for monitoring, mixing, and mastering in recording studios, music production, broadcasting, and post-production. The front placement of the phase inverter and the construction of the enclosure allow for both wall placement and built-in installation.
