The versatile Naim Uniti Nova device is a ready-to-use solution for listening to music in all modern digital formats. The device has a high-quality construction, and the same principles used in creating other Hi-Fi components by this company were employed in its design. At the same time, the developers not only equipped the Naim Uniti Nova with modern functionality, but also made it as user-friendly as possible.
The player is equipped with a Burr Brown digital-to-analog converter and can reproduce sound in Lossless and High Resolution formats with parameters up to 24-bit / 384 kHz and DSD 64/128. For listening to music, the device provides the ability to play collections from network devices (via Ethernet or Wi-Fi), from streaming services, or from connected USB drives. Direct connection of portable devices is made possible by support for Chromecast and AirPlay. The Naim Uniti Nova also has an SD card slot, optical, coaxial, and analog inputs (the latter is presented not only with standard RCA jacks but also with the traditional 5-pin DIN jack for Naim). It is also worth noting the presence of an HDMI input with support for Audio Return Channel (ARC), which allows the device to be connected to a TV.
As a complete solution for listening to music, the Naim Uniti Nova is equipped with a built-in power amplifier operating in class AB. It delivers 80W per channel at 8 ohm load, which is an excellent indicator for this versatile device. Large milled aluminum heat sinks are used to cool the amplifier, and a powerful toroidal transformer is installed in the power supply. To achieve optimal sound quality, the device uses a high-end analog volume control.
The contrast color display on the front panel and the included remote control or a special mobile application can be used to control the Naim Uniti Nova. An external power supply with increased power and the Unity Server music server can be used as further upgrades for the device.
