The Naim streaming platform.
The heart of the Mu-so second generation is the Naim streaming platform. It took 3 years of work by a team of 25 engineers to develop this platform. The Naim platform provides the best sound when playing your own digital music collection, internet radio, and music streaming services like TIDAL and Spotify. These innovative features are present in all Naim streaming products, from Uniti players to network players, including the flagship ND 555.
Digital signal processor.
The new multi-core digital signal processor provides 2000 MIPS (million instructions per second) - 500 more than the single-core processor of the original Mu-so. This means that the sound will be even more musical.
A new limiter algorithm has been developed to control the movement of the second-generation Mu-so speakers at high volume levels. The new limiter is only activated at the highest volume levels to help maintain clarity of sound and increase long-term durability.

Optimized speakers.
The second-generation Mu-so features 450 watts of musical power complemented by improved and optimized speakers, a joint project between the research departments of Naim and Focal. Focal has been producing benchmark speakers since 1979, and their expertise has taken the speaker performance to a new level.
New intuitive dial.
The new intuitive interface features 15 touch-sensitive buttons and a large volume dial with backlighting. The display wakes up thanks to the built-in proximity sensor.
95% complete overhaul.
For the second generation of Mu-so, a new elegant aluminum housing with a new gray finish has been created. On the outside, Mu-so of different generations may look similar, but inside, most components have undergone a significant overhaul. Thanks to the overhaul, the housing now has 13% more internal volume, improving bass performance. The structural connections and front panel have been modified to increase rigidity and reduce vibrations. The distinctive heat sink is now more compact but equally efficient. It also houses the signature Naim Wi-Fi antenna.
Updated Naim app.
The updated Naim App provides navigation by artist, genre, album, etc., along with album covers and extended music information. The app also allows you to control volume, backlighting, acoustic modes, and create playlists.
