Description

The versatile upgradable network player Naim 10TH NDX2 supports UPnP, Bluetooth (aptX HD), Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Roon, vTuner, various multi-room modes, and digital and USB inputs for universal and convenient music source connections.

Features

  • Burr-Brown PCM1792A digital-to-analog converter
  • Decodes all HD audio formats up to 32 bit / 384 kHz or DSD128
  • Supported applications: Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, Roon Ready
  • Universal and convenient music source connections

Special attention was paid to the characteristics during the development of the Naim 10TH NDX2 network player. Along with a new streaming platform from Naim, an enhanced DAC and discrete analog circuits were used. These and many other improvements from its legendary predecessor have made the sound of the new model even more lively and natural.

The Burr-Brown PCM1792A digital-to-analog converter is one of the best currently available. Its characteristics have been further improved, signature digital filters have been added, and a discrete current-to-voltage converter has been added immediately after the DAC.

The Naim 10TH NDX2 uses a proprietary Naim network card with low-voltage differential transmission of digital audio signals in the streaming section. Thanks to high speed, it decodes all HD audio formats up to 32 bit / 384 kHz or DSD128. The new streaming platform allows managing audio data streams using its own, not an external, DAC clock generator. Before being fed to the DAC, incoming data is resampled by a digital signal processor SHARC with 40-bit precision.

The Naim 10TH NDX2 is equipped with a built-in low-noise power supply with a specially designed toroidal transformer and separate windings for the digital and analog sections. If desired, the player can be connected to the XPS DR or 555 PS DR power supply, allowing for a noticeable improvement in the richness and emotional depth of the sound.
