NAD M33 - Multifunctional music device (new Master series). This product, combining a DAC, amplifier, and streamer in one chassis, became the first model based on the Purifi Audio Eigentakt amplifier circuit. The M33 model has taken its place as the flagship device in the current NAD lineup. The company positions the M33 as an "ultra-performance amplifier" for home use.
Key features of the M33 include support for multi-room BluOS, a full-color touchscreen with protective glass, ESS Sabre chip, full MQA decoding support, Dirac Room Correction calibration system, compatibility with Apple AirPlay 2 and aptX HD Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, as well as an "attractive" aluminum enclosure. When viewed solely as a stereo amplifier, the manufacturer has stated a sustained power of 200 W per channel. The company also emphasized the very low levels of distortion and noise - promising true audiophile sound.
The M33 device features a rich set of connectors: coaxial inputs, optical inputs, AES/EBU XLR, balanced XLR, RCA (including an MM/MC turntable connector), HDMI. There is a headphone output on the front panel. Additionally, there is a separate block for network connections with Gigabit Ethernet and a set of inputs for remote control. According to NAD, the device is fully prepared for any automation systems. The amplifier can be connected to two pairs of speakers. As expected from such a device, the M33 can handle music streaming from a home storage system or from streaming services like Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon HD, Spotify, and more.
