Full-featured surround sound
The M17 V2i offers full HDMI video switching and decoding of surround sound, as well as balanced 11.1 outputs. With a complete set of advanced features such as high-resolution lossless surround sound formats from Dolby TrueHD, DTS: X, DTS-HD Masters Audio, and now object-based sound with Dolby Atmos, the M17 V2i provides the highest level of performance. The surround sound mode of the original material is automatically detected via the digital inputs of the M17 V2i, and the most advanced form of decoding based on your setup is activated. Conversion of encoded digital bitstream is done with high resolution and extremely linear Digital to Analog Converters carefully selected based on their operating characteristics.
Flexible customization
The latest HDMI features are included, such as HDCP 2.2, 4:4:4 color resolution, support for video with extended dynamic range, and CEC/ARC. Digital inputs and outputs are available in both coaxial and optical formats to simplify connecting all your digital sources. Digital inputs are converted to analog for use in Zone 2, and you can convert unused outputs to tape for use in Zone 3 and Zone 4 with independent source selection and volume control. With BluOS, we have also made it easier to add additional speakers for listening to music in additional rooms. IR repeaters, 12V triggers for automatic amplifier on/off, and RS-232 data port make it easy to connect to high-tech control systems like Crestron and Control4. Thoughtful features such as discrete power on/off codes, direct access to inputs, and FM station presets make integrating the M17 V2i into complex remote control systems easy.
MQA
Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) is a revolutionary technology embedded in every BluOS-supported amplifier for capturing and delivering MQA music to your speakers in the highest quality. All players and systems with BluOS support include a powerful decoder and sound visualization tool for millions of songs encoded in MQA. The MQA logo displayed in the BluOS app indicates that the device decodes and plays a stream or file in MQA, letting you know that you are hearing exactly what the artist recorded and approved in the studio.
Dirac Live Room Correction
Dirac Live and its powerful room correction software are built into the M17 V2i, including its own calibrated measurement microphone and Dirac Live Pro. Experienced users can create an ideal listening environment that corrects synchronization and sound coloration, including the ability to create custom target curves for room response and the ability to choose from a variety of third-party calibrated microphones.
BluOS Advantage
The M17 V2i features BluOS, a unique operating system and software for music management shared with NAD's subsidiary, Bluesound, among high-performance AV processors. When connected to the Internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, the M17 V2i has access to thousands of Internet radio stations and over a dozen high-quality music services, including Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, and many more.
