NAD D 3045 is an enhanced version of the integrated amplifier D 3020 V2. The most notable change in the NAD D 3045 amplifier compared to the NAD D 3020 V2 is the presence of a USB-B input, HDMI input with ARC support, and an additional optical input.
The NAD D 3045 also features some other connectivity options. The amplifier has a built-in Bluetooth module with aptX support, making it easy to transmit signals from various mobile devices. Another useful feature is the 3.5mm headphone output on the front panel. Some additions have been made to the rear panel of the new amplifier. The NAD D 3045 now has a preamp output and a subwoofer connection (necessary adapters are included), as well as a 12-volt trigger input.
In this model, NAD has installed Class D amplifiers, which they have been preferring lately. The NAD D 3045 delivers 60 watts per channel, and it is equipped with two pairs of screw terminals for speaker connections. Class D amplifiers traditionally outperform traditional A/B circuitry in terms of efficiency, making the NAD D 3045 quite compact and non-heating during operation. Of course, 60 watts of power may not be enough for driving large floor-standing speakers, but it will not be difficult to find suitable speakers for the NAD D 3045. One of the sound tuning options on the amplifier is the bass equalization switch on the rear panel, which allows you to enhance the sound richness at low frequencies.
You can connect a laptop, mini PC, or workstation via USB. The amplifier will act as an external sound interface supporting digital streams with parameters up to 24-bit / 192 kHz. There is a light indication of the set volume level and selected input, and physical buttons have been replaced with a touch panel. The volume control knob has a smooth operation, and the device is characterized by high build quality, also the amplifier comes with a miniature remote control.
