The MMF-7.3 model looks minimalist yet robust. The table consists of two panels with four sorbothane dampers inserted between them, a polymer with increased anti-resonant properties. Because of this, the upper platform where the main bearing and tonearm are mounted is isolated from possible external vibrations. The entire structure is decoupled from the mounting surface by three height-adjustable steel cones with protective footers. Horizontal leveling is controlled by a built-in bubble level.
The rotational force is transmitted to the disc through a round belt from a DC motor, which is placed in a circular slot and has no rigid contact with the turntable. Stabilization and speed switching between 33/45 is done by electronic circuitry. These measures have led to noticeable improvements compared to the budget MMF-2.3 model - the rumble level has been reduced to -73 dB, with deviations from the nominal speed not exceeding ±0.06%.
The stock ProJect 9.1 straight tonearm with an effective length of 230 mm is designed to accommodate cartridges weighing up to 16 g. The carbon fiber arm tube is characterized by high rigidity and temperature stability of form with low mass. The counterweight is decoupled from the tonearm tail and acts as a damper.
The turntable comes equipped with the Ortofon 2M Bronze MM cartridge. The Ortofon 2M series is designed for precise extraction of information from the record groove. The 2M series was developed in collaboration with Danish industrial designer Møller Jensen Design - the same designer who created the award-winning MC Jubilee and Kontrapunkt series. Inspired by the facets of diamonds, which elegantly mimic the grooves on the surface of a record, 2M is a combination of form and functionality.
