Moondrop brand introduced the second generation of the popular Lan in-ear headphones model, now with the suffix 2 in its name. Building on the success of the original model, the Moondrop Lan 2 has received significant improvements, including a new dynamic driver with a composite Glass Dome diaphragm and a dual magnetic system.
The Moondrop Lan 2 in-ear headphones are based on a new wide-band dynamic driver with an innovative composite Glass-Dome diaphragm. The diaphragm thickness is only 0.05 mm, produced using a high-precision pressing mold and specialized glass process.
The diaphragm has an extremely high Young's modulus and outstanding stiffness coefficient, providing impressive high-frequency extension and high resolution across a wide frequency range. As mentioned earlier, the Moondrop Lan 2 in-ear headphones are offered in two versions — Lan 2 Ref and Lan 2 Pop. Both versions have the same design and functionality, mainly differing in sound tuning. Lan 2 Ref is aimed at reference sound: clean, detailed delivery with an emphasis on the mid-high frequency range and improved spatial soundstage. Lan 2 Pop has a pronounced emphasis on mid-bass and vocals: focused voices and powerful bass response make Lan 2 Pop an excellent choice for pop music lovers.
The package includes a high-purity copper (OFC) cable with a balanced Pentaconn 4.4 mm connector, as well as a 4.4 mm - 3.5 mm adapter of the same quality.
Both models of Moondrop Lan 2 in-ear headphones use a dual magnetic system. The internal and external magnetic schemes create a strong magnetic flux, providing fast transient processes, high sensitivity, and a wide dynamic range. The Moondrop Lan 2 headphones' bodies are made of high-quality stainless steel, with metal ear capsules made using Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology. They feature standard 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors for cable connection.
