Moondrop Kadenz provide high-quality sound thanks to the 10mm ULT Gen2 dynamic driver with a TAC Diamond-Coated Dome Composite diaphragm. This technology combines liquid crystal polymer with a diamond coating, significantly increasing the rigidity of the construction and minimizing acoustic distortion even at high volumes.

The headphones' magnetic system uses a non-uniform configuration developed using FEA modeling and topological optimization. The internal chamber of the headphones is made of brass with a waveguide, the shape of which is optimized through 3D printing to achieve a uniform frequency response.
Moondrop engineers have implemented a system of interchangeable acoustic nozzles in Kadenz with three options, allowing users to adjust the high-frequency range according to their anatomical features. The headphones are equipped with patented third-generation anti-clogging filters that reliably protect the drivers from earwax.
The Kadenz housing is produced using MIM powder metallurgy and has a matte finish after a final sandblasting treatment. The headphones come with a detachable cable made of oxygen-free copper with gold plating (2-pin 0.78mm connector) and an additional DSP cable ECHO-B with a USB-C interface, supporting PCM playback up to 32-bit/384kHz with a SNR of 120dB.
The sound signature of Kadenz follows the VDSF tuning with a neutral base and moderate elevation in the low and high frequencies for increased detail. The headphone frequency range is 8-21kHz (effective 20-20kHz), impedance is 35 ohms, and sensitivity reaches 122dB/V.
Moondrop Kadenz are Hi-Res Audio certified when used with the ECHO-B cable, confirming their ability to reproduce high-resolution audio. Android device owners get access to five preset equalizer settings through the Moondrop app.
