The Ultra model features dual DAC and a balanced 4.4mm headphone output. It boasts a professional Servo CD architecture with a dual damping system, high-class laser head, and imported audio chips for stable disc rotation.
The Discdream 2 Ultra includes quality components to ensure stable and clear CD playback. It utilizes a professional laser head for smooth and error-free disc reading. For additional stability, it features a dual damping system including electronic and physical dampers.
The player's audio circuit contains two Cirrus Logic CS43131 chips, implementing fully balanced decoding. The four-channel amplification scheme provides separate channel amplification for the 4.4mm balanced output with 4 Vrms and 222 mW power at 32 ohms load. The 3.5mm unbalanced output delivers 2 Vrms and 112 mW respectively. Stability is guaranteed by 7 linear voltage stabilizers, Ruby capacitors of automotive class, and 3 NDK generators to minimize jitter. Additionally, the device can function as a USB DAC when connected to a computer or laptop.
The Discdream 2 Ultra offers both a standard 3.5mm headphone output and a balanced 4.4mm output. The player delivers a clean and powerful signal, capable of driving most headphones, including in-ear models.
You can connect the player to a PC or laptop for use as a DAC/amplifier. It supports playback of high-quality audio files up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256. Connecting to Windows and Mac does not require additional drivers.
The 3500mAh battery provides 8 hours of autonomous operation. Charging is done via USB-C with 5V/2A current, and the device remains functional during charging.
