Signal Path Circuit without Capacitors
Audio contours without capacitors (or so-called DC-coupled circuits) usually ensure higher sound quality. Capacitors in the signal path circuit have the most detrimental effect in terms of sound coloring. In addition, the absence of capacitors allows for more sound information on low frequencies. However, such schemes are highly susceptible to distortion from connected components. Therefore, serious protection is necessary for the quality operation of a DC-coupled circuit. Another argument for avoiding the use of capacitors is that even the best ones, with minimal tolerances, will change their characteristics over time, thus changing the sound character of the entire component.
Balanced Differential Audio Scheme
Channel schemes are absolutely identical - they are mirror reflections of each other and use exactly the same electronic components with minimal tolerances to work with two different phases of the audio signal. As a result of this solution, an improved dynamic range, power reserve, better signal-to-noise ratio, and high audio signal resolution are achieved.
Advanced Renaissance Circuitry Technology
This technology, known as "Zero Global Feedback" technology, eliminates audio signal correction circuits, making the amplifier very fast. Simaudio amplifier designs also allow them to work perfectly with complex loads, positively impacting playback quality.
High Damping Factor
The output sections of all MOON power amplifiers feature a high damping factor, ensuring exceptional control of the movement of the speaker cone. This allows for avoiding excessively large cone movements and unwanted residual vibrations. A high damping factor also makes the amplifier less sensitive to the quality and length of connected speaker cables. Importantly, for transmitting musical information at frequencies below 400 Hz, a much higher power is required from the amplifier. MOON amplifiers have a very low output impedance (usually less than 0.01 Ohm), thus achieving a damping factor of over 800 in the crucial frequency range up to 400 Hz.
Toroidal Transformers
Custom-made toroidal transformers with lower magnetic, electrical, and temperature losses deliver more powerful power delivery. These new high-performance transformers allow for faster power delivery and increased functionality, enhancing signal rise speed and improving dynamic characteristics.
SimLink Protocol
This proprietary protocol establishes communication between Moon components, allowing control of multiple component functions. For example, when one component goes into standby mode, all other connected components will also enter this mode. Similarly, adjusting the brightness level of the digital display of one component will automatically adjust the brightness of other connected components.
Exceptionally Durable Chassis Construction from Pressed Aluminum
The highest precision mechanical assembly of the chassis from pressed aluminum with minimal design tolerances significantly reduces mechanical resonances, resulting in uncolored sound. Additionally, aluminum is corrosion-resistant and provides excellent protection against electromagnetic interference, which are the main causes of audio signal quality deterioration.
Wiring with Teflon Insulation
Teflon insulation is highly resistant to long-term environmental effects, has a very low dielectric constant, and is an excellent insulator, protecting against heat, liquids, and high voltage.
