Canadian company Simaudio from Quebec has updated the 250i integrated amplifier to version V2. This new product joins the flagship Moon product series. According to Simaudio, the new version uses "next-generation" components, and its main feature is the built-in MM phono preamplifier.
Features:
- Built-in MM phono preamplifier
- Headphone output on 1/4” TRS jack on the front panel
- Exclusive bipolar output transistors with linear amplification characteristics
- Class A operation up to 5 watts
- Heat dissipation through aluminum casing instead of cooling fins
- RS-232 port for two-way communication and firmware updates
- SimLink controller input for two-way communication with compatible MOON components
- Rigorous chassis construction to minimize external vibrations
- Low operating temperature for long-term reliability
Moon 250i V2 remains very similar to its predecessor. The Simaudio Moon 250i V2 amplifier is highly versatile, with powerful balanced sound and offers an excellent price-to-quality ratio. It features six analog stereo inputs, with mostly analog circuitry. One of the inputs is conveniently located on the front panel as a 3.5mm jack. There is also a headphone output nearby.
The Simaudio Moon 250i V2 has all the main functions, such as SimLink connection protocol support, RS-232 port, and IR ports for integration into smart home systems. The output stage features patented Moon bipolar output transistors with precision matching. As a result, the Moon 250i V2 can deliver up to 100 watts per channel into 4-ohm speakers, with THD at half this power not exceeding 0.02%.
The stylish design of Moon by Simaudio 250i V2 combines with the traditionally high manufacturing quality that characterizes all products from the Canadian company. In addition, the highest production standards followed by Moon ensure very high reliability and stable performance for many years.
