The sound of the Simaudio Moon 110LP v2 can be described in one word - dynamic. All aspects of the signature Simaudio sound are noticeable as never before: fast, tight low frequencies, well-defined midrange, transparent high frequencies. All of this is achieved through an improved power supply and a more complex circuit design. Additionally, the phono preamplifier is less sensitive to overloads than its predecessors.
At the bottom of the phono preamplifier, there are three pairs of switches that allow users to adjust device parameters. Users have access to four load options (10 ohms, 100 ohms, 475 ohms, and 47 kohms), capacitance settings (0, 100, 330, and 430 pF), and gain levels for MM and MC cartridges (40, 50, 54, 60, and 66 dB).
The device's circuitry is mirror-symmetrical, with four-layer boards featuring tracks made of pure copper. A noise-smoothing filter is included in the power supply circuit to reduce noise levels. The Simaudio Moon 110LP v2 is housed in an aluminum chassis, with gold-plated RCA connectors.
The phono preamplifier is powered by a 24-volt power supply.
