The Monitor Audio Studio 89 bookshelf speakers have a luxurious design and finish, making them easy to integrate into a modern interior. This model is dedicated to the famous Studio series, first introduced by the company in the late 1980s. These new speakers are created using the latest technologies to meet the demands of experienced music lovers. The external finish of the speakers is done in black lacquer with gold elements, giving them a prestigious and expensive look.
The Monitor Audio Studio 89 speakers are housed in elegant narrow enclosures. Deep internal damping ensures no resonances, delivering clean and uncolored sound even at high volumes. The model features three drivers - two bass drivers and a tweeter, symmetrically positioned using the MTM design to achieve uniform directivity and a natural stereo image. The low-frequency drivers are made using RDT III technology and feature combined C-CAM ceramic and magnesium alloy diffusers, producing rich and fast sound reproduction, especially in the bass range.
The new generation MPD III ribbon tweeter is located between the bass drivers, offering an extended frequency range for transparent and detailed sound. All three drivers are mounted in a single block, mechanically isolated from the front panel to dampen vibrations and reduce distortions. The drivers are fastened with metal pins on the rear side of the enclosure.
The Monitor Audio Studio 89 model features an original slot-loaded phase inverter with rear-facing ports. This speaker design is more efficient than traditional solutions with round ports and allows for placement relatively close to the wall. The updated crossover filter design was developed using both laboratory tests and listening to various types of music.
