The Monitor Audio Silver AMS 7G speakers are designed to provide sound for height channels in Dolby Atmos surround sound systems. The speakers are designed to reflect sound from the ceiling of the listening room, creating the illusion for listeners that the sound source is located above their heads. In order to achieve this effect, the speakers are equipped with drivers placed on the top panel at a specific angle. These speakers can be placed on floor-standing speakers, for example from the same series, creating a seamless look. Additionally, the Monitor Audio Silver AMS 7G speakers can also be wall mounted if the front speakers in the home theater system are smaller in size.
Features:
- Special speakers for Dolby Atmos systems
- C-CAM bass drivers
- Gold dome tweeter made of aluminum-magnesium alloy and ceramic
- Signature HiVe II phase inverter
- Rigid Surface Technology (RST) II
- Suitable for height, side, or rear channels
- Wall-mountable
The speakers have a two-way configuration, providing a rich and balanced sound. They feature a proprietary 5.25-inch bass driver with a combination C-CAM diaphragm, as well as a tweeter with a gold dome made from the same material. These drivers are similar to those used in other speakers in the same series, ensuring a cohesive sound across the entire multi-channel system. The Monitor Audio Silver AMS 7G speakers are equipped with high-quality crossover filters. The input terminal block is strategically positioned for tidy and discreet cable connection.
On the bottom panel of the speakers, there are special mounts that allow them to be wall-mounted with the speakers angled downward towards the listeners. This makes the Monitor Audio Silver AMS 7G speakers versatile, suitable for front height channels in systems without Atmos support, or for rear or side channels. In this case, the height at which the speakers are mounted should be carefully considered, but even a novice user can easily handle this task.
