Monitor Audio Platinum 300 3G is a flagship floor-standing speaker. This speaker is capable of providing levels of bass extension and detail that are usually only found in the largest floor-standing speakers. It is also capable of providing an exceptionally large soundstage in a relatively compact form. The new MPD III transducer and midrange and bass drivers RDT III have improved the overall balance of the speaker, reduced distortion, and allowed it to provide exceptional room-filling sound. Additionally, it is equipped with a new cast outrigger plinth and base.

MPD III Ribbon-Type Diaphragm
Micro Pleated Diaphragm III - or Air Motion Transformer - offers advantages such as reduced fragility due to its unique stiffening ribs and higher efficiency thanks to a larger radiating surface area in a compact form.
C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Magnesium-Aluminum Alloy)
C-CAM is an innovative alloy originally developed for the aerospace industry. Its characteristics include extreme stiffness yet lightweight properties. During production, the aluminum-magnesium alloy undergoes stress-relief treatment to prevent surface deformation and decrease strength. A layer of pure ceramic (corundum) is then applied to the surface, providing high curvature resistance. The resulting material ensures enhanced clarity and reduced signal distortion compared to traditional diaphragms.
RDT III Composite Nomex "Sandwich" Diaphragm
Rigid Diaphragm Technology III features a sandwich-type diaphragm with a Nomex aramid base, C-CAM outer layer, and two layers of carbon fiber with perpendicular fibers inside. Changes to the diaphragm edge and suspension design result in incredibly low distortion, setting a new standard for Monitor Audio.
Enclosure
Constructed from complex-profiled MDF panels forming a curved reinforced enclosure 18-21mm thick with 36mm partitions. The top panel is adorned with an engraved inlay. Finished with 16 layers of lacquer.
