C-CAM is an innovative alloy originally developed for the aerospace industry. The C-CAM diaphragm combines extreme rigidity with lightness, as internal stresses are relieved during the manufacturing process to prevent deformation and reduce strength. A layer of pure ceramic (corundum) is applied to the surface for high resilience. Offering increased clarity and reduced distortion compared to traditional diaphragms.
Rigid Diaphragm Technology III with Nomex Composite "Sandwich" Diaphragm
Rigid Diaphragm Technology III features a sandwich diaphragm with a Nomex aramid base, C-CAM coating, and two layers of carbon fiber with perpendicular fibers inside. Changes to the diaphragm edge and suspension construction result in record-low distortion for Monitor Audio.

Crafted from complex profile MDF panels creating a curved, reinforced enclosure 18-21mm thick with 36mm partitions. The top panel is adorned with an engraved inlay and finished with 16 layers of lacquer.
