The Monitor Audio Gold 50 6G speakers are designed in a classic two-way configuration. A 6-inch C-CAM woofer with a ceramic and magnesium-aluminium alloy diaphragm handles the low frequencies. It features updated HDT technology to dampen resonances and deliver fast and focused sound. The powerful magnetic system ensures quick responses to any audio signal changes. The ribbon tweeter in the speakers is a proprietary design from the company, known as MPD, now in its third generation. Housed in a small waveguide and covered with its own protective grille, it complements the aluminum trim of the woofer for added elegance.
The drivers are connected to a crossover network made with audiophile-grade components. It minimizes phase distortion and maintains stable impedance throughout the frequency range. The speakers utilize the patented HiVe rear bass reflex port, along with a shaped metal panel with two pairs of screw terminals on the rear panel.
The Monitor Audio Gold 50 6G cabinets are constructed from selected MDF and are deeply dampened to eliminate unwanted vibrations. Internal bracing with screw fixings further reinforces their structure. The removable protective grille is equipped with magnetic holders.
