The Monitor Audio Gold 300 speaker was crafted to deliver true sound. Premium driver technology taken from the flagship Platinum II speakers was combined with a leading-class cabinet design to create a speaker built to last a lifetime.
The Gold 300 is the flagship model of the line, featuring a 3" (76mm) midrange C-CAM driver with a high-frequency MPD transducer above and a pair of 6" (152mm) RDT II bass drivers below in a true three-way configuration. Equipped with a pair of HiVe II ports on the rear panel for smooth airflow and ample bass reinforcement, the Gold 300 is ideal for larger spaces. Its impact and dynamism can only be compared to its finesse and precision - from crisp 60 kHz up top to stunning 28 Hz down below, making it ideal for any listening demand.
The high-frequency MPD transducer in the Monitor Audio Gold 300 delivers clear, extended high frequencies that are exceptionally smooth. Two custom-made 6-inch bass drivers feature RDT II cone technology, utilizing a specially designed sandwich cone with thin C-CAM, cellular Nomex core, and woven carbon fiber for remarkable rigidity, lightness, and good damping. Dual HiVe II ports enhance transient response and provide denser bass thanks to a smoother airflow. The internal cable made of pure silver-plated oxygen-free copper (Pureflow) ensures the highest quality signal transmission across the chain.
The luxurious, soft-touch finish of the Monitor Audio Gold 300 cabinets exudes a premium-class look and feel. The one-bolt-through design technology enhances the mounting strength, rigidity, and driver/baffle disconnection. Custom-made magnetic grilles offer a clean visual style that is practically acoustically transparent. High-quality gold-plated bi-wire terminals are custom-made. Durable cast metal outrigger feet with spikes or rubber feet for carpet or hard floor surfaces provide a more attractive appearance and take up less floor space.
