Garage Inc is a box set by the American metal band Metallica, released in 2011. The collection includes three 140-gram vinyl records, which contain B-sides, covers, and the album The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited. The box set includes cover versions of songs by Motörhead, Sweet Savage, Queen, Anti-Nowhere League, Budgie, and other bands. About 2.5 million copies of this collection were sold in the US alone.
Metallica is an American metal band formed in 1981. They perform music in the thrash metal and heavy metal styles. Metallica has had a major influence on the development of metal and is (along with Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax) one of the "big four of thrash metal". Metallica's albums have sold a total of over 100 million copies worldwide, making it the most commercially successful metal band. In 2011, one of the largest metal music magazines, Kerrang!, in its June issue recognized Metallica as the best metal band of the last 30 years.
