Expert connection of 8K HDMI
The new Marantz CINEMA series includes up to six HDMI inputs and one output for all your favorite sources. Three inputs on the CINEMA 70s support pass-through of 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz, Pure Color 4:4:4 subsampling, Dolby Vision pass-through, HLG, HDR10, and BT.2020, as well as HDCP 2.3, the latest version of copy protection standards, are supported on all HDMI inputs. Showcasing the latest HDMI technologies and specifications, the new CINEMA 70s allows you to take home entertainment to a new level with support for HDR10+, Dynamic HDR, ALLM, VRR, and QFT. The video processor is also capable of upscaling the original video to 8K quality.
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AirPlay 2 capability

Improved Audyssey MultEQ XT
With the included Audyssey measurement microphone, this AV receiver measures all the dynamics in your room and adjusts the receiver to provide the smoothest and optimal overall sound for your room. This AV receiver supports Audyssey MultEQ room correction technology. Other supported Audyssey features include Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume. The receiver is also compatible with the Audyssey MultEQ Editor app for more personalized tuning, as well as the Audyssey MultEQ-X software available on the Microsoft store. The MultEQ Editor app is available for purchase in the iOS and Google Play stores.
External Control Capabilities
It has RS232 and IP external control capabilities for easy setup and compatibility with third-party integration solutions. The Marantz CINEMA series offers IP control capabilities for major control devices from third-party manufacturers, as well as Control4 SDPP (Simple Device Detection Protocol) certification for seamless integration with Control4 home automation equipment. IR (infrared) remote control input and output are located on the rear panel for compatibility with other home theater system components.

Pre-amplifier mode
In pre-amplifier mode, your receiver functions as an ideal AV preamplifier with the latest HDMI connectivity options. The pre-amplifier mode provides a cleaner signal path and greater clipping level stability by disabling the internal amplifiers. The receiver features 7.2-channel preamp outputs. You can also turn off specific speaker channels to utilize the receiver's built-in amplification for non-critical channels, while achieving a cleaner signal path for channels controlled by external amplification, such as Front L+R.
