You can also disable selected speaker channels to utilize the receiver's built-in amplification for non-critical channels, while obtaining a cleaner signal path for channels controlled by external amplification, such as Front L+R.

Two subwoofer modes (standard and directed)
Providing you with even more freedom to adjust the settings of the subwoofer according to your preferences when connecting more than 2 subwoofers. Choose "Standard" if you want the bass to be evenly distributed throughout the room. Audyssey sub EQ HT will be engaged to provide a global filter for all subwoofers and give you a wider sweet spot in the room. Choose "Directed" if you want more directed bass to seamlessly integrate with each speaker channel closest to each subwoofer. Bass is felt differently depending on where you are seated in the room.
Backlit remote control
