Design and Enclosure
The Magnat Ultra RD 200-THX speakers boast a simple yet stylish and appealing design. The enclosures are made of MDF profiles and covered with a black vinyl film. With moderate dimensions of 300 x 400 x 160 mm and weighing 7.6 kg, these speakers blend perfectly with the overall interior style of a listening room.
The trapezoidal enclosure houses three drivers – a front-facing midrange/woofer driver and side-firing tweeters. A fabric grille can be attached to the front panel with small magnets, while the rear panel features input terminals with standard screw terminals and special mounts for easy wall placement.
Drivers and Sound Characteristics
The front panel features a powerful 170mm low-to-midrange driver with a cellulose and polymer cone diffuser. Flanking it are 40mm composite dome tweeters. The tweeters are protected by a metal grille, ensuring durability. The Ultra RD 200-THX speakers are equipped with a reliable crossover that divides the frequency range into two bands: mid/woofer - 80 to 1500 Hz, tweeter - 1.5 to 27 kHz. With a sensitivity of 89 dB and impedance of 4-8 ohms, these speakers provide high sound pressure, balanced sound, and accurate and realistic sound reproduction without coloration.
