Monitor Reference 2A has dimensions of only 175mm in width and 290mm in height. Nevertheless, it still offers the full range of options from the Reference series. Thanks to aptX Bluetooth 5.0 codec, HDMI input with Arc function, and other analog and digital inputs, it can replace your entire stereo system and also serves as excellent speakers for use with a computer.

Active speakers Magnat Monitor Reference 2A are the most compact model in their series. They are made in sturdy MDF cabinets with high-quality finishes and possess all the qualities of a true Hi-Fi model. Monitor Reference 2A can be placed on a desk, on shelves on either side of the TV, or on any suitable stand. These speakers are capable of fully filling a small room with sound and can serve as the foundation of a modern stereo system.
Compact, yet with sound from larger models
The speakers have a two-way configuration and feature a phase inverter with an output port located on the back panel of the cabinet. The patented AirFlex construction of the phase inverter ensures no noise when air flows through the port. Magnat Monitor Reference 2A is equipped with a 5-inch mid/bass driver with a paper cone. It has a powerful ferrite magnet and can generate significant sound pressure. The speakers' tweeter has a soft 25mm dome and is made using the Fmax technology, which enhances frequency response uniformity. The tweeter is loaded on a horn waveguide, which aligns the directivity pattern and enhances sound detail.
The speakers come with an amplifier rated at 75W per channel. Magnat Monitor Reference 2A feature a linear RCA input (which can also be switched to Phono mode for MM cartridges), an additional analog input on a 3.5mm mini-jack, and an optical input. An interesting feature of the model is the HDMI input with ARC support, allowing easy connection to a modern TV for playing sound from broadcasts and audio signals from all connected sources. The model also includes a built-in Bluetooth receiver with enhanced aptX audio codec.
All the electronics and inputs are located in one speaker of the stereo pair, simplifying their placement and connection.
