Introducing the Mackie MDB series - a high-quality line of direct boxes designed for various applications. These direct boxes stand out for their low noise levels, top-notch circuitry, and sturdy construction.
The MDB-2P is a passive (no power required) model with two channels, commonly used in studios and on stage.
This direct box is intended for connecting one instrument, such as a guitar, bass guitar, or keyboard, to a microphone preamp for musicians and sound engineers during recording sessions or stage performances. It transforms a high impedance signal at instrument level through an unbalanced 6.3mm input into a low impedance signal at microphone level via a 3-pin XLR connector. The 6.3mm connector allows simultaneous connection to an amplifier or pedalboard.
Features include a passive circuitry that provides an increased dynamic range, resulting in extremely low levels of noise and interference. It also includes a parallel Thru output, an XLR output with ground lift capability, and a -15 dB switch for compatibility with high-level signal sources. Additionally, this direct box is built with a "Tank Tough" construction principle, ensuring durability.
Package includes the direct box and documentation.
