The MDB-1P is a passive (does not require power) model with one channel, commonly used in studios and on stage.
The direct box is designed for connecting a single instrument, such as a guitar, bass guitar, or keyboard, to a microphone preamp for musicians and sound engineers during recording sessions or live performances. It converts the high impedance instrument signal to a low impedance microphone level output via an unbalanced 6.3 mm input to a 3-pin XLR output. The 6.3 mm connector allows simultaneous connection to an amplifier or pedalboard.
